- Forward Wisconsin
Forward Wisconsin, the state of Wisconsin’s economic development marketing corporation was dissolved in August, 2012. The Wisconsin Economic Development Institute (WEDI) agreed to assume the ownership and maintenance of the Forward Wisconsin website and to retain the site’s familiar name. The website continues to provide the data needed by economic developers. Data is updated annually.
Resources are provided for businesses looking to either open a new location, to expand an existing business in Wisconsin or to start a new business. A major feature is a business cost comparison among fourteen Midwestern states. Other up-to-date, comprehensive and comparative economic development data on Wisconsin is also available with Fact Sheets, contact lists and development resources.

Nearly every action taken by the executive and legislative branches of state government affects local government. Counties need to play a pivotal role in these actions and the Wisconsin Counties Association (WCA) is the organization through which dialogue and cooperation can occur.
